Manga Overview

Translations

The Tezuka World web site has a list of manga and animation available in translation, but it is very out of date, and lists only a small portion of what has actually been published. Here is a more complete list. Since the grammar and vocabulary used in manga are usually not very complicated, it really requires only two college semesters (slightly more than one high school year) or so of the language, plus a dictionary, to be able to read these works.

We are looking for a volunteer to gather information about releases in Dutch. There have been some.

Here is a list of the Tezuka manga titles which have been published in whole or in part in English, Italian, French, Spanish German and Portuguese. Editions which are the only European language release of a particular manga are marked in bold:
