who was this character?

In the Astro Boy manga, there was this small character that looked all swiggly, and did nothing but say "Here ta meet ya!" I believe they translated his name to "Spider" but I'm wondering what his Japanese name is. Plus, I'd like to find some pictures of him to make into an icon.
Thank you in advanced :D

As far as I know and understand this character is just a recurring trademark figure that periodically pops up in Tezuka's works, much like the hyoutan whatever it's called that looks a little like a pig.

I don't know what he's called if anything. Maybe there's something on the website that could inform you Manetoys.

I believe that guy's name is Spider, the one who pops up to greet people.

Spider is his name. Tezuka explains him & others on pages 8 & 9 of Astro Boy manga volume 10.
