What's the point in buying the exact same manga, in different languages?

Well... the only duplicates I have are Black Jack in French and Korean, and Kirihito in Korean and English.

All my Korean editions are second-hand, and I bought the Black Jack set before the French one. Unfortunately I couldn't get a complete set and finding used Tezuka manga in Seoul is nearly impossible... there's so much manhwa coming out that they don't usually keep any backstock of out of print editions. And there's very little 'after-market/collectable' value... it's like trying to find an edition of People magazine from 1996.

Besides... the medical terms in Korean go right over my head... I just always assume something "bad" is wrong

As for Kirihito... I didn't buy the French edition because I knew the English one was coming, but I stumbled across the Korean edition in one of my searches.. and for $10 I couldn't pass it up.

Well I don't have a large collection, but as a poor student what can I do? XD Well for christmas I got the Black Jack Box, that was cool ^^

I have now:
- MW 1
- Black Jack 1-18 and the Remake 1-2
- Superbird System
- Kimba the white Lion in German 1-3
- Two Astro Boys, German Nr. 15 and 17
- Kirihito 1-4
and the Tezuka Short stories 1-4




I still need to buy some French manga (MW 2 and 3 and others like Ludwig B etc.)

I hope I get some more Tezuka stuff when I visit Japan. ^^
