Atom envying humans

So, I was reading the manga chapters which Atom started to envy the humans in the Dark Horse publications and there was two stories which he was envious of humans because he could not feel fear.
And in the 1980 series, he was unable to dream and wondered what could be the solution for it.

In both of them, he asked Dr. Ochanomizu to give that ability, but he ended up getting in trouble in both of these stories.

Coral Reef Adventure (first appearing in 1954): Atom was with his friends hearing stories of terror, but he was not able to feel fear which annoyed the story teller.
So, a man who looked like Igor from Don Dracula requested him to investigate a mystery involving a ghost ship which was scaring away fisherman.
Dr. Ochanomizu reluctantly gave Atom the ability of feeling fear for 3 days, but during his mission, Atom was completely scared to make the mission and saw the ship had animals who were victims of radiation and more other animals would be subjected by another atomic test.
During that part, Atom was afraid of going to help them, but the effect of feeling fear expired and he did his job.
Atom then realized that he should not feel fear, but got scolded by the story-teller while not feeling fear again

Shootout in the Alps (first appearing in 1956): Atom was unable to enjoy music and neither see what was beautiful, so it made him envious from other boys who could feel joy in the songs and see beauty.
With this he requested a human like heart so he could experience the same feelings as a human would, but it made him turns into a scared cat.
However, a gang which Atom defeated early, took notice that he become too scared and decided to take his father and mother as hostage.
So, Atom was unable to do anything, but Dr. Ochanomizu requested Ken to neutralize Atom's human heart by shooting in his Adam's Apple and with this Atom managed to beat the gang and save his parents.
At the story conclusion, Atom realized that he should not envy the humans and should instead focus in being a great robot.

In Airship In Emminent Danger (episode 47 from 1980 series): Atom was unable to understant what meant to have a dream which meant about having plans for the future.
So, he requested Dr. Ochanomizu to disable his powers temporary, however, the Airship Memorial was hijacked by a terrorist who lost his dream and Atom's powers would be necessary.
But, the effect of losing his powers ended and he managed to save everyone.
In the end, Atom realized that it don't matter if he cannot dream, at least he can still enable humans to dream.
He may not be able to dream, but at least he can help others, so they can have dreams and plans for the future.

Envy can make people lose focus and even goes into killing, so imagine the trouble if robots started to envy humanity?
