ok people... i'm nearly done ripping these episodes for my own backup (yes i did them at crazy quality).
anyhow, I will then run a very quick lower level quality to send to the person who will sub them.
before i do this, i will get a full quote, and timings etc...
once i confirm the cost, i will create an indiegogo project!
obviously, everyone donating will get the subs - as they are created I would assume.
remember, this is a professional subtitler - although will validate anyone before they get this project!
i think we will need approx $5K US

Ask them to just translate, not subtitle, if it's cheaper. I can do the subtitling part for free.

The money you'd get from this is going to be extremely low. Lower than the already low amounts Anime Sols gets. So consider making a project type where people's money is collected even if the goal isn't reached. That way you can at least get a few episodes translated, based on how much money you've gotten.

Of course, this is all assuming that indiegogo doesn't check the projects that people create on it, otherwise this'll get shut down...

I still don't understand why having something translated would get a project shutdown?! Anyhow, I'll ask about translating vs subtitling, good idea!

BTW - what tool would you use to create the titles? I noticed the russian website 80s US subtitles don't match my Jap 80s DVDs.

Although the fan subs from vivi match exactly, is there a tool to use to align them?

Am I the only one who thinks these will never be translated by a corp?

How long can we go on without seeing them!
