Craig McCrackenís tribute to Osamu Tezuka

Wasn't quite sure where to post this one, hopefully I chose the right place.

Craig McCracken (creator of PowerPuff Girls, Foster's Home of Imaginary Friends Etc...) has created a tribute to Osamu Tezuka. Up for sale is a shirt and poster titled Milton Glaser v. Magma Taishi with limited 100 available. The shirt and poster as said in the title is a call back to Magma Taishi (AKA Goldar). The shirt is $20 the poster $30. You can buy them here

That's very cool of him.

I thought the name sounded familiar. Turns out I was reading on him recently when I was thinking on how similar PowerPuff Girls was to Astro Boy. Of course I had always seen the show as a spoof on anime, starting with the heroines being exaggeratedly young.

Wonder where the idea of a super hero who still goes to grade school started though? Was Astro Boy the first to do it?

I had never thought about it, but that's true there are similarities between PPG and Astro. I used to like this show, and I'm quite glad to know their creator is making this tribute to Tezuka. F-Man is right, that's very cool ^^
