Having finished reading The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis to my mother a good while ago, we recently decided I should now read The Lord Of The Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien to her beginning with the official prequel, The Hobbit.

We've read the first 2 chapters so far and love it so dearly.

I am currently reading The Land of Mist By Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It is #3 of 5 of the Prof. Challenger series. Until I found this website, I only knew about The Lost World. Anyway, this is a rather sad addition to the series, because Doyle lost 6 close relatives in WWI, and apparently had begun seeing Mystics in hopes of communicating with his dead son. He then wrote this story as a defense of spiritualism; a thing that he denounced before those deaths.

I finally finished The Land of the Mists, which had it not been for the unforeseen plot twist, I would have finished in late November. Now, I have started the 4/5 Professor Challenger adventure, The Disintegration Machine.

I am also reading Ranma & Inuyasha manga online; & hope to finish soon.

The Disintegration Machine was a short story with an amusing ending. Thanks to 's online library, I have no need for a library card! :lol:
