Cat Adopts Abandoned Puppy

MERIDEN, CT -- Who said cats and dogs can't get along?

A pint-sized pup has found a new home in a cage full of felines.

The little rottweiler was rejected by its own mother after being born just a week ago.

After discovering the dog's predicament, workers at the humane society in Meriden decided to pair the little dog with a nursing cat.

Dog and mother cat seem to be getting along just fine.

Workers at the human society are so thrilled that the cat has accepted the dog, they named her "mother of the month."
