The penguin is cute, I'll admit, but I would like to ask you not to use it as your avatar. Animated avatars that maintain constant motion like that can be visually distracting, and can cause serious problems for users who have various difficulties with reading, such as ADD, ADHD or dyslexia, or visual impairments which make it hard for them to track on text. An animated avatar which simply changed a couple times over a set period, such as flashing through 3 different "panels" of a mini-comic would be ok since it's much less visually distracting, but something like the penguin that moves constantly will be a problem for many people. Cute as it is, I wouldn't want the avatar to make it difficult for others to use the forums - make sense?

this one has less movement, is it ok for an avatar?
If you're wondering where it's from, my friend Brittany sent it to me in an e-mail.
