Oh... finally! We've got at least someone I can talk to about soccer (or at least MLS... you a US MNT fan too?). I'm a huge Canadian soccer fan and a Toronto FC fan by default.
That's quite a score for Buddha... it's one of my favourites.
BTW, I sent you a PM that might make your weekend complete... PM me back to discuss if you've got any questions...

Hey, hey, I'm a big soccer fan as well. I don't keep up with MLS and the like as much as I should, though. Can't wait for Euro 2008.

I'm not a huge MLS fan... although since Toronto FC is "Canada's Team" I've been a bit sucked in. I'm going to watch Euro 2008 for sure - I enjoy country much more than club teams... but what I really can't wait for is CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying...
dare I say our Canadian lads look like they might actually do it this time around? Better not... had my heart broken too many times already...
edit: I just noticed Mike went to a double header with Brazil-Venezuela following the Revs-FC Dallas game - I'd love to hear a first-hand review of the match. Our Canadian lads just gave the Brazilians all they could handle last week in Seattle. Be nice to know how Brazil played in this match.

TFC-DC was a hell of a game, Toronto almost stole it.
Like I said, I think Canada have a strong first XI, it's really got to be down to the CSA to keep the focus on growing that group of players. It's yielded results for us. Also, more high-level Canadian pro teams (such as MLS sides in Montreal and/or Vancouver) will bring the standard up as well.
World Cup qualification for CONCACAF starts this week!!

I heard the US won by a large margin, but I didn't know it was 8-0. Ouch. Euro 2008 is all I can handle right now, so I'll have to pass on the qualifiers. But they seem interesting.
