As much as I had formerly enjoyed the 4th, lately the TV celebrations have just plain ignored the patriotic music until the very end of the show. A CAPITOL 4TH has gone so far as to omit the 1st 10 minutes of the 1812 Overture. Last night, they even reorchastrated THE STARS & STRIPES FOREVER, substituting the xylophone for the piccolo & something else for the horns in the very last part! :evil:

As much as that Marine band was very good, I was extremely disappointed.

Kevin, I would certainly never do anything to diminish the importance of the holiday, but have you noticed that you start a new thread for almost every holiday?

I bet I can find your last 4th of July thread! Can we reuse them?

I don't think there's anybody on this planet that has the spirit of the 4th more than internet comedian, Seanbaby.
