So I really like these guys. I've been watching Alps no Shoujo Heidi, and it's one of my top 5 animes now. Here is the . I just like its message of "how remaining connected, living harmoniously in the present, with nature is better than walling oneself in a fancy home - which thereby disconnects oneself from lived experience". It seems Takahata had a lot of cool stuff. Kind of sad how Miyazaki overshadows him. I haven't gotten around to watching Akage no Anne yet tough.
I've also watched some of Konnichiwa Anne, and I like it too. I don't like it as much as Heidi, for Heidi's personality and the story's narrative draws my fiancé and me in more. Here is the .

Which of their stuff do you guys like? I know about a lot of their stuff, like Flanders no Inu, but I haven't gotten around to immersing myself into them yet. My friend recommended me to watch Kemono no Sōja, saying it's like a mix between a Word Masterpiece Theatre anime and Princess Mononoke, and while I liked it, my fiancé found into too slow.
