People who live in Japan and/or who are Japanese, visited Japan, ect. may be familiar with this series, as there was a poll conducted, to see who was familiar with it...

The poll was conducted, when it celebrated it's 50th anniversary, and apparantly, it's pretty famous.

As for the series I don't know the manga nor the anime. It doesn't really interest me that much as well. But if it's that popular I'ms urprised you don't finf more information/pictures about it. Maybe you should search through Google with the title in Japanese
