It certainly does tease people who click on to watch it. It gives you nothing about the movie at all. Not even the title MW appears in the brief time.
But I suppose this may be why it's called a teaser trailer.

Garai looked a lot like L at some point...O.O Funny since the Death Note and MW movies are both by the same director.

Just another thing too -
This IS a trailer, and as trailers are designed to sell movies, they DO often play up the most base or sensational aspects of a film (or over-simplify it) to attract interest and money.
So hopefully the actual film will be better
But hearing that the Death Note director is behind this worries me a bit. I didn't care much for that adaptation, although it wasn't absolutely horrible.

And the release date is billed as "Summer 2009" I will be in Japan for almost all of this summer so I'll try my best to check it out!
Looks like they have at least one foreigner in the cast as well, I assume he'll be playing the American army guy. Hope he speaks English in the film or at least doesn't mangle Japanese too much XD
