Tezuka In English Discussion Forums

Having read the Unico manga in preparation for the release of the movies in the US, I finally got around to watching the pilot I've had on DVD for a while. It's a 2006 DVD (reissued in 2010) and also comes with a Hello Kitty episode made with cute puppets in stop motion (and it was so sweet it gave me cavities). But here's what's wrong with the Unico pilot:

The difference is pretty big. The DVD was cropped to widescreen, is non-anamorphic and very blurry throughout with severe lack of detail.

I had no idea until now that the Unico movies had been released in Spain, but here you go. Do not get , get instead (with Spanish and Portuguese subtitles). Or maybe, Discotek Media will also include it as an extra with one of the movies. That would be really neat.

They have both of these at some of my local libraries, but I tend to find Unico quite depressing... This company also released the complete Don Dracula series, Phoenix 2777, a complilation of experimental Tezuka shorts and some of his early movies, like Alakazam the Grat or The Adventures of Rock (that film about a brave Akita dog and his army of friends that confront a m...f... lion).

does DON DRACULA have Japanese audio & is it still available?

What is that little teeny weeny character in the lower right hand corner? It almost looks like a "unicorn fairy." Is it?? This looks like it would push all my CUTE buttons!!

I think that's Unico getting a visit from Zephyrus, but I could be wrong.

I looked at the page, but saw only 1 language listed; also, I do not know if shipping to US is available.
