Just a heads up, the new live-action movie of "Dororo" starts tomorrow here in Tokyo! I am so sick, but I will see it as soon as I am feeling better!

Oh, mippa, when you see the movie please e-mail me a couple paragraphs describing it and I'll use them to make a page for it on the site. Links would be good too, especially picture links. I have the pictures for it but can't upload them - the site is temporarily out of webspace.

International Interest For Dororo

The official stage greeting for the coming live action adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's Dororo was held in Tokyo on the 27th. Even prior to the Japanese release, distribution negotiations and agreements are underway with companies in 23 countires around the world including Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, and Germany. North American rights to distribute the film have been acquired by Universal.

If the Hong Kong rights have been picked up that means we should see a english subtitled DVD release of the film out there before too long
