Osamu Tezuka up for ELAN Award

In the upcoming 3rd annual ELAN Awards, Osamu Tezuka is nominated for an Animation Industry Honorary Award: Lifetime Achievement in Animation. He is nominated as posthumous of course.

Interestingly he will be competing against Hayao Miyazaki for the nomination. For those interested the full list of nominees are:

I think list list is pretty well put together, and would love to put a vote in. Unfortunately this category falls under the categories not available to public voting (only peers and industry).

"Frederick Avery"? I heard of Tex Avery, I assume these are the same guy.

Anyway, just the Posthumous competition is really tough; although this is my 1st exposure to the name Norman McLaren , as well as most of the living nominees' names.
