When Lamp shouted, "BANG!" Wato's eyes turned intense for a moment and she lunged at he detective as if to punch him, but caught herself at the last moment. "Sorry, sorry." She grinned, embarrassed. "Too much Kendo practice, I guess. Ha ha ha. Anyway, I believe you, detective Lamp. So you'll be coming up to the dig then, I assume, to see Professor Ochanomizu?" She looked to Sapphire. "I mean, when this crisis is over. Sapphire and I work up there too, see, so I'd be happy to show you around later." "I hope this doctor friend of yours drives fast." She smirked. "I know a REALLY good doctor, but there's no way I could convince HIM to help, he's too stubborn."

Sapphire tried (and failed) to take a deep breath, coughing once more. "At this point I don't care if it's the devil himself so long as he drives fast."

Watching Sapphire cuoghing again made Lamp very nervous and annoyed. He thought about his days as an officer, when he tried to save a man from killing himself. He arrived a second late to edge of that roof. He was young, and lacked of determination and guts. He indeed knew that he was able to save the man, but the situation overcame all his bravery. Even then, twenty years later, he was still watching that figure falling to the floor every night, tormenting his conscience.
But this time that was going to be different: he was determined to save that woman not as a law officer, but as a human being and ... HYOTAN-TSUGI TIME!!!


Yes, pals: just then, a Hyotan-tsugi appeared from nowhere, puffing and jumping. Lamp just kicked it out. He was furious at it because it ruined his internal monologue... And the final of this post.

OOC: Welcome, Metropolisforever. It'll be excellent having a Kenichi participating - speaking as Rock I'm particularly excited. Remember in future, though, to mark your Out of Character posts with "OOC:" at the beginning, or if your character is appearing in the game to make it clear where you have appeared, what you look like and what characters you are talking to. OOC again: Does anyone mind if I take charge of deciding what's at the mysterious dig? I have a good idea and, I think, a cool way to reveal it gradually, so I'd like to sort-of call dibbs on it if no one minds.


IC: "Hang in there Sapphire. I've never seen an attack this bad before. Even up at the dig when the others collapsed it wasn't like this." Wato looked at her watche and tapped her foot. "Where is that slowpoke doctor?!"

Wato could hardly believe her eyes as the familiar, black car pulled in in front of the driveway. "Black Jack... sensei?" She rushed to the window at once, waving franticly. "Senseiiiii! In here! In here! I think she's dying.!"

Black Jack inclined his head to Wato but did not change his pace as he rounded the corner and let himself in. He seemed to block the light from the door as he entered and approached Wato.

"Dying, you say? Let me see the patient and I'll decide that for myself."

"Is she going to be alright!?", yelled Kenichi.

Sapphire sat up with some difficulty, but a faint gleam in his/her eyes... hope perhaps?

"You're the doctor? Well... you'd better have a look."

OOC: I will send the results of BJ's initial examination to BJ via private message, then BJ can decide how much to reveal.

"We're here! We're here! Make way! Coming through! VERY IMPORTANT DOCTOR AND WIFE ENTERING THE BUILDING!!!" Pinoco shouted at the top of her lungs.

She clung to the leg of her darling sensei possessively, eyeing all within her field of view. She was clearly marking her territory, not allowing even a shadow of a doubt that THIS was HER man!
