"Pinoko-chan?" Wato smiled as Pinoko and BJ approached. "Where the doctor goes you go, as always, yes? I haven't seen you in a while."

Black Jack knelt beside Sapphire and set his toolkit beside him.
"Hush, you look bad enough as it is."

At first glance he could tell her condition was severe. Swollen arteries were visible beneath the skin, possibly the result of blood clotting. She was fighting it, but consciousness would not remain with her long.

He reached into his kit and removed an IR thermometer. A few seconds later told him her body temperature was low; 31 degrees already. He took her pulse. Irregular and weakening. She would go into shock soon if not treated.

Looks like it might be organ failure. Kidneys, maybe. I need a more thorough examination.

However, he knew exactly who his patient was. One of his finer works, he thought. He looked up at the detective. "I need to prepare an examination area. It's a miracle she hasn't gone into shock already, but she will soon if I can't examine and treat her."

"Wato-cha~n!" Pinoco suddenly scurried over to the teenage girl. "Long time no see! Do you know this---" Pinoco looked to the patient. "...guy...? Girl?" She paused. "If it is a guy..." Pinoco got starry-eyed. "He sure is a pretty boy, isn't he?"

Sapphire laughed weakly at Pinoko's 'compliment'. "Uh... thanks. But aren't you an adorable girl too!" (S)he smiled. "Well, doctor, what do you think? If you want to do any more thorough examination I'd rather go to a more private room." (S)he raised his/her eyes to Lamp. "No offence to this very kind detective, but..." (S)he raised his/her arm modestly as if already feeling embarrassed as the detective saw BJ touching him/her.

"Maybe we can go to a back room?" Wato looked around and saw a door back to the dining room, not yet open for lunch. "Back there! There are big tables, and the kitchen is close. Here, Sapphire, let me help."

Wato bent to try to help Sapphire stand, then paused, uncertain.

"Is it okay to move Sapphire, doc?"

Black Jack shook his head. "Better to let me do it. Pinoco! Help Wato set up an examination table. Get the equipment from the car. I may need to operate here!"

He lowered his voice so only Sapphire could hear. "Will you be able to move?"
