You need to look at the date when it was published. And honestly even for todays standart I don't really see much problems with Tintin or Kimba. It's not as if white people or other ethnies were pictured so much different in those stories. (Except for the ever good looking main characters).
You don't alter history books too, why old cartoons? I don't get it...people are just over sensible nowadays.
