Tezuka In English Discussion Forums

Oh, wow. I just looked up Rusty and he definitely does have a resemblance to Astro.

Eh, I'm sure some artists get inspiration from Tezuka's works, therefore some of their characters may have similarities.

As far as anime and manga, I think he influenced so many things in the anime/manga industry, that there always will be some sort of similarity in current anime/manga to his works.

Well my example of Rusty is kind of a cheap shot. Frank Miller explicitly stated he did Rusty because of Astro.

To a lesser extent - My Life as a Teenage Robot XJ-9 "Jenny" isn't as blatant at the appearance, but the entire series can easily stand next to AstroBoy and in honor of it.
