I found this page that features drawings of Tezuka characters as DC heroes Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman.

Holy cow, were those really drawn by Tezuka?
Tezuka as Super Man made me lol. But really, it's no surprise why so many characters here are representing Super Man, Tezuka was actually a pretty big fan of the super hero. He even became chair man of a Super Man fan club in Japan.

Wow, these are great! I love all the different takes on Superman, especially Shunsaku Ban's. I always figured Black Jack would be more of a Batman, though.

Not sure ANYone would know... Unless they read the front page of our website... But Tezuka was President of the Japanese Superman Fan club at one point.

Hey, did anyone notice that Atom's "S" is BACKWARDS?!
Maybe he was drawn flying the other way, and was scanned in and "flopped." That would explain it.
