Triton Manga VS Anime

[Tetsuwan Atomu]

A while ago i finally finished the Triton manga i was really surpised how different it was from the Anime i'm not even sure how to put it into words i'm no stranger to the fact many of Tezuka's anime based on manga all had changes here and there but in this case it was hardly the same thing ?
The manga might even be close to my favourite shonen while the anime started kinda meh but at least had some really good episodes and then just kinda ended.
I mean it's harly a spoiler if i say in the manga they grow up and the world in which it all takes place in get's explored on a really good way even if there was a obvious pot twist, but in the anime they just keep looking for something anyway i'm to confused to really give you a good explenation i want to hear some other opinions on this.
