Is it his drawing style?
Is it his storylines?
Is it his message?
What about Tezuka is the most appealing to you?

The graphic design in the Kimba animated series is really amazing. There's some incredible stylization (actually there's plenty in Onward Leo too!)
I will return to what I've said elsewhere though. Its because I am in love with Tezuka's ability as a story teller. Tezuka is a humanist, a philosopher, and a spiritualist (at times)--but in the course of those things, he never forgets how to tell a great story with compelling characters and a rousing plot.
To return once more to Karma--what a great synthesis of all those things. Tezuka is at the top of his form (incredible art, deep philosophy, a soaring eulogy for mankind, and also just a GREAT story.) I think this piece is one which is really beyond the capability of a lot of other artists. It IS perfect.

The reincarnation star system. It's completely unique in all of fiction and the things he does with it are so overwhelmingly powerful.

For me, it's really everything!
I love his plots, his characters, his themes! They really teach me so many things you can never get out of American comic books!
One favorite I have in particular is his cameos. He also comes out of his own works himself!

That's a really nice way of putting it. I agree. I think the most amazing thing is the fact that he was basically not afraid to try anything - no matter how far fetched. The bredth of his works is so wide, from Children's stories to Adult Epics - it's just incredible.

I'm still astonished at how much he drew. I mean, it's just....MUCH! And everything is something own. I realized it when reading the Short stories - which alone are 20 volumes. And each short story is something "new" and full of imagination. How can one have SO many ideas for a story? And this aren't even series - just short stories!
