Usually when I see Unico he's sort-of purple/blue.

Unico is voiced by Karen Prell in the English version.

Bart Simpson is voiced by a woman too. And now? Most little boys are voiced by women, even in Japan that happens a lot. (Ever heard Son Gokus voice in Japanese?)

I think you're the one that's missing the point. Ever heard Astro Boy's voice? It's a woman's as well. Many animated boys are voiced by women... in many different languages.

Unico is a baby boy-unicorn... with a high pitched voice. What's hard to grasp about that? When it all comes down to it, what's the difference anyway?

When was the last time you heard a Unicorn talk anyway? :lol:

Ahahahaha! Maybe everyone is on a different substance when they "see" Unico...like the ever-illusive pink elephant...

As for voices, effeminate or not, it never makes a difference for me. x.x I saw Unico as a weeeeeee tot, and I always thought he was a boy.

What does it matter if the voice sounds slightly effeminate anyway? As long as it sounds right for the character?
Kimba and Astroboy of the 60's worked perfectly as male characters voiced by a woman.

I hope Unico is released on DVD one day.
