What ever gave them the idea to publish the entire Ode to Kirihito series in one volume!?

That thing is HUGE!!!

It's 822 pages!!!

I think it was a great decision. It looks great in the bookcase and there's no real good point in splitting it up in several books, as it is one whole story. Collected miniseries are always great as you can just get a complete book off the shelf ^^ (loves how Tokyopop releases Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo in casevolumes, instead of the original tankoubon release)

I can imagine it's quite difficult to read/hold.

Especially, if you're a kid, with kid-sized hands, like me.

Although, It may not be hard to read/hold, it sure is heavy !

I think it looks great too. Even if it's really fat...well I think it's a great release and sure cheaper than the French one. (I also like this "flip-cover")
I still prefere the French release though - it's unflipped.
But I'm really looking foreward to Song of Apollo.

Yes, I know, it's not THAT big, but it sure is big.

I have seen several books that are bigger.

Ever heard of Romance of the Three Kingdoms?

I'm not sure if I've seen it, but doesn't it have, like more than 3,000 pages?
