Eh, yes, I'm very fond of wolf/canine characters in general, and I'm wondering if anyone has any large manga scans or something of him. I'm considering drawing him, so I guess this topic classifies with the fandom stuff. =S

I have this one - it's one of the biggest images of Toppei in wolf-form in the manga. Hope that helps!

Toppei is the main vampire in the first two volumes of "Vampires," and turns into a wolf. Here are a couple more pics, though none as good as that first one strobe_z posted:

If anyone has the 2005 Tezuka calendar and could do a better scan of the vampires page that has the biggest pic of Toppei in wolf form that I've ever seen. I'm afraid all my good scans of Vampires are from vol. 3 and I don't have my scanner with me. If you're still looking for them in August I can scan some more.[/img]

oh, usually I don't like vampire stories. The only vampire story I liked was the Blade movie and also that Forever Knight tv show.

Superhero? No, I don't think there's really any way to call Toppei a superhero. A young man with an unfortunate problem, certainly, but he doesn't go out and fight crime in the night or anything. Technically he's trying to follow his dream of becoming a Mangaka, until a certain villain gets in the way. It's a great story

As for you, strobe, time to face up to volume 3, it's a Tezuka buff must. The reincarnation stuff he does in there is like a mini-handbook for how to understand Phoenix.
