Hey, I was reading an interview with Peter Chung on Animation World Magazine, and it mentioned that Chung drew some of the story boards for the new Astroboy movie.

I am a HUGE Peter Chung fan, and the fact that he's involved in this movie, even as a storyboard artist, is a very good sign, to me.

I know I think. I think it looks awesome! Sure, his voice is a little deeper than I would've expected but it's still more believable than the voice that gave us "LET'S ROCKET!!!"
I totally can't wait for this. It definitely looks better than the Dragonball movie

I'm definitely getting an Omega Factor vibe with these.

Oh and here's a little retrospective I found, mostly montage stuff, and a few early rendered scenes (which you actually see in the trailer released). Then there's a quick interview segment with Nicolas Cage at the end.

I think Omega Factor was an excellent play style for a flying robot. The controls were a little difficult to get used to at first, but that's because they tried something new that I've never before experienced. Unfortunately these images give me more the impression of a side scroller and not one of a full 3 dimensional environment.
