Tezuka In English Discussion Forums

While at my Bestbuy I noticed a miniset of the original Astroboy series that contained 26 episodes. I later found out that Best Buy is coming out with at least the first Ultra Collector's Edition of Astroboy divided into mini sets. Online you can purchase the second set for $44.99 here

After looking around I found another (not Bestbuy) site that had the second set even cheaper ($33.99) here

Hopefully they'll release the complete series this way since it is a more affordable price than the collectors set.

That's strange since I wasn't under the impression the initial box sets sold very well.

I'm not really sure how much cheaper the mini sets are since 1 collector's set=2 of these mini boxes (right?) and the collector's boxes were going (at least on-line) for around $80, the price seems comparable to me.

Either way though, a reissue indicates that there's some interest out there and we can hardly keep claiming that nobody it interested in Tezuka when multi-disc sets are going into second run.
