A question about the Astro Boy manga

I'm writing a fanfic that takes place within the manga's universe, and I wanted to ask a question about Atlas. He appeared twice, didn't he? Once as built by Dr. Ram, and once as built by Dr. Tenma.
Was the story where Tenma built Atlas released in the English version of the manga? If so, what volume, and what was the name of the story?
Also, hi, I'm new. Kuririn knows me. :3 *waves* Nice to meet you all.

Atlas does appear twice & in 2 different forms in the manga. However, his 2nd appearance is in the form that was adopted by the 80s anime (or perhaps based upon the anime); he was a child similar in size, shape, & abilities to Atom.
The 2003 anime gave Atlas his original hair style, but everything else was different. In this version, Dr. Tenma does create Atlas, but his reasons for doing so are completely different than previous versions. I believe they made a manga series based upon the 2003 anime.

This is interesting since this version of Astroboy seems to have nobody die at all in the English dub. I mean the only characters who are "killed" are robots. And they reappear in subsequent episodes, thus implying that they have been repaired and therefore "resurrected".
Though of course it is implied that Dr. Tenma's son Toby died. But I don't think the circumstances of how he was killed are ever made specifically clear in this version.
I wonder how many other original references to death may have been cut out of the dub?

Pluto is definitely killed in 2003 Astro.
So are several robots which cannot be repaired during the robot battle games.
But you are right, Fox had serious problems with their overzealous censors.
