Tezuka In English Discussion Forums

It has been awhile since I've visited this site, but I just need to ask, why Tick and Tuck? Doesn't it make better sense and I think in the anime series it is "Tick and Tock" and not "Tick and Tuck"? Any way it is nice to know their original Japanese names!

I dunno... I suspect a case of Engrish. The official Tezuka website lists them as Tick & Tuck, but it wouldn't be the first time the translation was a bit off. Perhaps I should change "Tuck" to "Tock" since I believe I would call Ramune and Kalpis their "real" names anyway.

I understand. But maybe a mention that in the American version, the characters are known as: Nip and Tuck, as well as Tick and Tock, would be in order!
