The comic series The Original Astro Boy lasted till 1987-1989 and had 20 issues and 1 short in issue 17 of Speed Racer.

Those are the unlicensed comics; they may be interesting, but Osamu Tezuka had nothing to do with them.

I remember seeing these. Yes, Osamu Tezuka had nothing to do with them. And these comics seem like they were published by North Amercians.

Wow. by wikipedia this comic series sound amazing, also the comic series is literally called "The Original Astro Boy" ,but I do know that it is not original at all.

So I have obtained the original astro boy comics from my comic bookshop website. I read some of it and it's really bad. Astro kills some people and the story is childish and yet always hinting to darker things. I only got it because a weird adaption of astroboy sounded kind of cool and the company that released it is long gone so in no way was I supporting the original ripoff company.
