Here's some old screencaps from Black Jack 21 that I found floating around on my computer, mostly of teenage Pinoco (and one really funny little Pinoco)






I don't know if Tezuka ever drew the "real age" Pinoco, but teen Pinoco's look in this anime was pretty un-Tezuka if you ask me. She came off as the more "shiny-fied new anime" style (for lack of a better word) that prevails in newer Tezuka anime works like the Black Jack movie. Black Jack 21 was pretty damn good overall (though I haven't watched it in 3 years) for a new Tezuka anime, though.

I took these as reference for a drawing I was gonna do of a "grown up Pinoco" as a doctor. I never did the drawing.... but the pics are still interesting.
Opinions? And opinions on this concept of "teen Pinoco?"

And why, why, WHY, if she's REALLY "18" like she says, does she act like a 6 year old? She loves ice cream, plays with toys, etc. Maybe she's just a really childlike 18 year old.
