For those who are interested, on Ioffer a member is selling a Japanese dvd under the head line "Japanese Drama DVD Black Jack TV Version *ENG Sub". This seems to be a live action version of BlackJack.

He desvribes the dvd as follows

The asking price is $16.99, while he does mention that he doesn't ship to Italy. For those who use Ioffer (I do, I'm just low on money at the moment) I assume this is a good deal, here is the link

Region free, english subs. This is a pirated DVD. And I surely wouldn't pay 17$ for something pirated.

But it looks interesting ^^ I always wanted to see it.

Yeah, that's a fake alright. Wish I could get my hands on those subs, though, as I don't have a translation. I DO have one of the Motoki telefilms taped off the air. (Remember that there are two other TV movies with a different actor as Black Jack.) It's kind of amusing, but pretty low-budget. Also, since Pinoco the tiny homunculus wasn't going to work with a microscopic TV budget, they had two creepy twin girls play the character instead. Kind of a departure.

It sure would be cool to see a live action Black Jack. As long as there was a good working story to make it a success. And they'd have to have Pinoko in it. Can't have Lone Ranger without Tonto.
