I'm very sceptical about a 12th volume. The timeline given in the back of the editions just don't leave space for it (unless, as has been mentioned, these next volumes are very short).
My theory on the phantom wikipedia edition is that 12 corresponds to the number of stories being published (which hasn't matched the number of volumes since Yamato and Space were lumped together), and somewhere along the line someone made conclusions they shouldn't have.
I've been wrong before though - I certainly didn't see the volume 7 reprint coming - and there's no guarantee the "extra" Egypt/Greece/Rome stories would even be on the timeline.
Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Maybe there will be a volume 12 after all?

Oh, that looks pretty authentic to me... wow. I wouldn't have believed that Viz would pick that up. I have to say I'm surprised, but what surprises me also makes me believe it's authentic. The fact that they're including the unfinished first version of the Dawn story (), along with the Egypt/Greece/Rome () leads me to believe it's on the up and up. As far as I know, the original Dawn story hasn't been reprinted outside of Japan. So if it wasn't legit... I doubt very much they'd include the unfinished Dawn story.
This is really great news. I picked up the Korean version (which only had Egypt/Greece/Rome) and it's very enjoyable. It's not so deep as the later "true" phoenix stories... but very much Tezua adventure style.
Now, I'm REALLY excited!

Wow. I really didn't expect this kind of dedication from Viz. I mean, I thought they might publish the early stories when I saw the listing for volume 12, but including an early version of Dawn? I'm really excited now. Thanks for the info, Jiminy.

Wow, the Amazon listing makes it look promising. If it comes out, I will be getting it. No questions.
