Hi no Tori TV series gets released in Germany!!

As it seems OVA films will realease the 13 episode Hi No Tori series from 2004. German version will be done by "Brandtfilm" and it will already be released in April!

Wow, this is totally unexpected and absolutely great for me, as I liked the series a lot and already wanted to buy it in Japanese box (since I never thought it will be released anywhere except maybe in France). I loved especially the Soundtrack and even if the last episode was a lot worse than the manga version, it's still a good series.

I really hope it's true. Then maybe, the BJ TV series isn't that far away at all for me. *_*

This series is excellent.
Especially the first four episodes telling "The Dawn".

Yes, I also especially love the first 4 episodes. Well I hope they release it as a box. But also single Discs would be okay, since it's short anyway.

Edit: Ah no, they even state it there: 4 Single discs. Ah well..

Hmm, as I can actually read German just fine, I might consider to buy this (if I can find a shop in the Netherlands that would import German DVDs ^_~)

Release Date: 25. April.
I like the cover, but the Phoenix alone would be better. The characters look a little bit out of place.

Since the cover is English, maybe it's the same in America?
They also say it'l be released in a high quality digipack thingy.

I finally got my Hi no Tori DVD today and so I'll make a small review just for the fun of it.

The package is quite nice (as you can see in the pictures).
As for the picture quality of the anime itself, it's good as well. Not as good as maybe Disney DVD's but far from bad. The sound is in DD 5.1 (both German and Japanese) and...I can't judge how good it really sounds since I only have my old speakers who aren't made for something that advanced XD.

The German dubbing is...well...sadly not that good. I would even say it's pretty bad but at least there is one so I can watch it with my parents once.
The subtitles are well made and as far as my Japanese goes I would say it's well translated. It's also good to read.

All in all I would say it's a pretty good DVD and I'm very happy with it. ^^ I'm looking foreward to the others.
