Holy crap! George Carlin's dead?!?! :shock:

That sucks! You know I was just watching some of his old routines the other day.

yeah he had serious heart problems, and even though he went to the hospital after an early warning sign, it wasn't enough to save him

I upgraded to a cablebox DVR a month ago, & SNL was one of the 1st things I programmed it to record. GC was the very first guest host, & that show was aired last week in memory of him.

I may not be very familiar with him, so I am a bit confused when he goes on like that. Is he a comedian or political guy, is he trying to be funny or serious?

Anyway, the idea that god has empowered any group to do whatever it pleases to any other group is the essence of organized religion; too bad people are too blinded by belief to see it.

He was a comedian, but he often tried to work a political message into his comedy. You could call him a political humorist, I suppose.

The rants are meant to be funny, but have more than a few kernels of truth to them. Even if you don't take it quite as far as he does.

Not all of his jokes are like that, though. He also had an amusing rant about dumb everyday phrases, and things like that.
