Here goes...image dump time. If I would be better to link these, please let me know and I'll take your advice as soon as I read it.
First off, here's a version of Rock in which fifty percent of his face is composed of eyes. Funny how you notice those things so much less when you draw them than a month later...
Here, I did not begin the drawing with Skunk in mind. By the end, however, something very much like Skunk had happened, so I asked myself: "Why not just color him blue and get it over with?"
Here is no specific character, but the sketch, once I had finished it, reminded me of someone I had seen in one of Tezuka's works...I just can't put my finger on who...or maybe I'm just seeing things.
And yes, Tezuka would have done a much better job on the perspective.
Now, this was always Skunk (albeit with strange looking hands), a character I think looks great in period outfits.
Here is my quick, sketchy attempt at drawing smaller, less detailed people, based on the art style in Nextworld. As can be seen, I gave up after trying a couple of mouths on the little alien guy--alas, I'm not the master.
Rock in a period costume from some mysterious era where no one knew how to make coats (how I love my old art...
). You can probably tell I like doing this to innocent characters.
And that's all for now--whew!
