I'm a newbie!

Hello! I call myself Xenops, and I first heard the name Osamu Tezuka from Scott McCloud's book "Understanding Comics" and "Making Comics" (both good books, by the way). I first encountered Tezuka's works in a bookstore in Seattle, and I read the first chapter of Vertical's "Black Jack", and it was love at first read. I would also like to explore "Ode to Kirihito" and "Princess Knight".

I'm a pre-medical student at a university, so I like to poke and prod at the "Black Jack" manga and anime to see if the science "works". I'm also minoring in Spanish and trying to learn Japanese on the side.
