"Screen?" Wato called back. "What exactly do you mean, sensei?"

"I mean find out who has what blood type!" he replied. "And ask them if they've contracted any form of Hepatitis or Malaria within the past year!"

Wato looked to Kenichi and the detective. "You heard the doctor. Well? Or are you both such slackers you don't know your own bloodtypes?" She placed her hands on her hips. "Even Sharaku knows his darned bloodtype." Sighing she faced the closed door. "You want to start with me, doctor, while these two get out their drivers' licenses or call their parents or whatever they have to do to figure out their blood types? Or is A+ no good for this patient?"

"Sensei!" Pinoco called from the blood test. "He tests positive for AB+!" Pinoco looked to Black Jack in surprise.

"AB+?" Wato called back. "Doesn't that mean she can accept any blood type? AB+ is the universal receiver, isn't it?"

Black Jack hurriedly set up another blood supply. "Correct. So Wato, you, the detective, and myself will need to donate plenty of blood soon. I'm going to need at least four more pints, so if you donate one, the detective donates two, and I donate one, that should be enough for a total transfusion. Pinoco, prepare for a complete blood transfusion. We'll have to drain all the blood from the patient and replace it."

This is going to be difficult, he thought. If I was at the clinic or a modern hospital this would be much simpler, but my portable equipment can only help me so much. I know I can do this, but it's risky as hell all the same. I guess this is where I stop relying on technology and put my skill as a surgeon to the test!

"You can also use the random kid," Wato said, pointing her thumb at Kenichi, "though I don't know where he's been." She approached Pinoko and rolled up her sleeve. "Shall I go first?"

Getting a good look now at the blood-letting equipment as Pinoko prepared it, Wato's face started to turn a little pink. "Ah ha ha ha." She laughed stiffly, putting on an obviously-fake smile. "On second thought, how about if this kid goes first? I'm not that fond of needles." She stepped back and tried to shove Kenichi forward.

And what was Lamp making in the meantime? After getting annoyed by the Hyotan-Tsugi, he didn't notice thet Black Jack had arrived, and when he saw him, he was already preparing his materials. So he decided not to put him under pressure and made his way to the Sacurity Room of the hotel. A security camera was recording the operation, and he wasn't going to leave that girl alone. If Black Jack failed... He really didn't know what was going to do to the doctor... The truth was that he was worried about Pinoko's future. What if he sent BJ to prison?

"This kid's blood is on the way, doctor." Wato called. "Do you need two pints from him or just one?" She turned to the detective. "Are you willing to go next? What's your blood type anyway, detective?" [/img]

Wato sighed watching Lamp speed away. "Looks like I'm not the only one who's scared of needles." She turned to Pinoko and Black Jack watching as the first pint of Kenichi's blood neared fullness. "Now what do we do, doctor? Will we have enough without the detective?"

Wato was wrong. Lamp supposed that the girl tought he was lying with all the blood issu, but this time was telling the truth. Actaully, the detective had an uncompatible blood type and he can't donate it to Sapphire bacause of the rejection... He was thinking about this when he passed by the archeological site. When he studied History at University, one of his teachers always was telling him about not to scorn any single stone when it came about arcehology... But these ruins were absolutely ugly. Why the heck the government had sent him to this place? No tomb snatcher would take any risk for that pile of garbage!
