Should animated child porn be legalised?
It is illegal to show any sexual depiction of a child, drawn, sculpted, or anything. I think child porn is disgusting, but if someone were to draw two stick figures together, and then write "THESE STICK FIGURES ARE UNDERAGED", they could actually be prosecuted. I think that is a bit silly. What if something were to depict a flashback scene of someone having sex for the first time, in a non-pornographic manner?

Honestly "child porn" will always be here, whether or not it is illegal or not.
Two things I would like to point out.
@Metropolisforever: Be more diplomatic in how you word things. There are at least three people here living in Japan, and additionally people from Tezuka Pro. do come to this side. Practice your decorum please, and learn how to word things more tactfully.
@cmoon: While you keep harping on Metropolisforever about how he is wording things and making over generalizations and arguing "lesser world issues" here, I would like to point out that you condemning what you perceive as "the religious right" is just as uncouth and tactless, and request that you refrain from making such generalizations in the future.
I personally think that comparing Japan and America on this matter--or Japan and any country or America and any country--is a poor idea. What works for one country does not necessarily work for another. Spending my entire life in America and then moving here to Tokyo has proven just that, and I think this issue is going to be a forever unresolved one, and I recommend that we drop/lock/etc this thread because it will result in nothing but offended spirits and irateness.

The legal age of consent in Japan is 13.
Not to sound insulting, but what about this kind of stuff, that can be bought in many stores?
