I wonder if it can now be said that Tezuka is the most translated mangaka into English, either by number of titles, number of volumes or number of pages.

Anyone know the competition well enough to remark definitively?

I really doubt it. In sheer volume number/number of pages alone he's probably beat out by the creators of "endless" series like One Piece or Naruto (which already has 54 volumes out in English).

There's a lot more of Tezuka's stuff translated into French than English, though! He might have one of the larger French libraries, but I don't know.

Oh, 76? Wow, that's a lot more than I thought there were! I'm curious--let's see how he stacks up to Rumiko Takahashi. She doesn't have nearly as many series as he did, but almost all of them have been released in the West, except Urusei Yatsura.

That's 120, but if Tezuka works keep getting released in the West, I'm sure it'll zoom past that number.

We may count this differently. There are different editions after all. As for the Vertical, I'm listing the original editions, and time to count all of Black Jack 'cause we are just a month from completion. Previously Astro was incorrectly counted. And I'm going to list the Japan published books as we can't set them aside just because they are hard to get. In any case, Princess Knight will receive a US treatment soon.
