You really have to love Tezuka for this. I completely agree with this philosophy.

As for Astro Boy and violence, I'm quite disturbed by the fact that someone dies in almost every episode...

But still, it's not like we can save everyone. Sometimes death is unpreventable. I believe just because someone dies, it doesn't mean that they don't stand by this belief.

So, the question is, what basis did Tezuka have for this plot element in ADOLF? If there was no obvious element in the known family tree (see link in first page cited), why would Tezuka even suspect such a thing? Was it merely Tezuka's imagination that produced this plot element?

As far as I know, the plot of Adolf is basically just Tezuka going "now what if..."

I've been trying to find something that verifies that supposition, but haven't yet. Still, it's interesting to see truth as strange as fiction.
