I got Princess Knight 8D

Gotta say that I really like it and eagerly await for part two

However to anyone else who has read this yet... is it wrong to think Sapphire should go with the pirate?

I KNEW this was going to be the Nakayoshi version... Even though everyone reported that it was going to be the shojo club version. The page count just didn't add up. I'm quite disappointed actually. I wanted to see the original version... And the fact that I already have the kodansha bilingual doesn't help my mood.

I got part two and finished reading it this afternoon. Gotta say, the ending felt tacked on and a bit rushed but over all I still enjoyed it.

That's because the ending is more or less tacked on. The version Vertical published is the Nakayoshi edition - which is the remake. Tezuka extended the storyline to keep it going, so basically everything after Mrs. Hell is defeated is newly created. I never liked that because it's somewhat artificial. The original story is weighted better in my opinion. If Tezuka really wanted to incorporate all those other elements, the story shouldn't have followed the same path and then just veered off course after it got past the original ending part. Still, the Nakayoshi version has "better" artwork (Tezuka's less Disney-esque style) so that's more or less the official version.

Still looked pretty Disney-esque to me but then, I haven't seen the original to compare it with.
I DO however wonder what happened to her boy heart. Did Plastic keep it? If so, Since she WAS able to fight Nylon without it does that mean Sapphire was able to remain just as butt kicking as she was originally without it?

I think Tink turned around and flung the boys heart back to Sapphire just as Nylon was about to finish her.
