I'll take Blackjack any day of course, but if I'm going for interesting personality opposed to eye candy, I'll pick Dr. Saruta from Phoenix. I've always felt for him in his various incarnations.

You know, I wonder if Tezuka created any characters that were "dating material." It seems like all of them have some sort of terrible vice that would make them bad dating choices...

Here is a completely unneccesary and uncalled for guide to the dating status of several Tezuka characters. Some of these may be offensive to people who have no sense of humor. :wink:

Black Jack - Do you really want to date an unlicensed surgeon? He could be arrested at any time, and you would also get in trouble.

Adult Melmo - She's only an adult for so long...

Wato - She's probably kind of busy, taking care of Hosuke. Not to mention, you could get killed if he turns evil.

Astro Girl - If you honestly want to date her, than you are a pedeophile.

Pinoko - See above.↑

Unico - SHE'S A F*CKING UNICORN, FOR GOD'S SAKE!!!

Princess Knight - You could be killed, especially considering all the fairy-tale action that she's involved in.

Mr. Pompous - Do you really want to date him?

Rainbow Parakeet - You could get in LOADS of trouble. He is a criminal.

Cleopatra - Travel WAY back in time, and have your ass kicked by a bunch of warriors. Not a good idea.

Astro Boy - Remember what I said about Astro Girl and Pinoko? You're a pedo, if you want to date him.

Kimba - You are a furry freak, if you actually have attractions to Kimba.

Adolf Hitler - Busted, you neo-nazi freak.

Ma-chan's mother - She's married.

Black Jack, definitely, though you'd probably have to stuff Pinoko out of the way somewhere first. Like a footlocker or closet. :twisted:
