So long as it is appropriate to the character I think rude language is just fine. I will doubtless be using some for Rock in due course since he too has a foul mouth in his mature phases. So long as you make sure your use of profanity is appropriate and constructive to the roleplay (i.e. not gratuitous) then I think it should be fine.

Just to be sure, I'll put a note in the general rules post warning people that there will be some mature language.

Thanks for the details. Keep in mind generally that some people can't watch things on youtube (it depends on one's internet connection speed) but the Wikipedia article was very helpful.

Prince Planet is indeed a marginal show where Tezuka's involvement isn't certain, much like Belladonna, but if it's a show you particularly like I see no reason Popi couldn't be a character - do others agree?

One thing you will need to be very careful of when playing Popi is always to specify which form he's in. Sometimes Popi appears disguised as the human boy "Bobby" in which case he looks normal and others who see him would react to him as a normal boy - other times he transforms into superhero form (as shown in the picture you posted) and then people would react to him very differently. It will be essential that you specify with every post which form Popi is in (just as Sharaku will always specify whether he is Sealed Sharaku or Three-Eyed Sharaku). I would recommend that you make two different 80 by 80 icons for Popi, one for him in "Bobby" form and one for him in Prince Planet form to make it easier for people to keep track of.

You will also want to study the show very carefully to get clear in your mind what superpowers Popi has and what he doesn't - as with Astro Boy or Three-Eyed Sharaku it can be very overwhelming having one character with superpowers when most of the other characters don't have superpowers, so be sure to make it clear in your own mind what Popi can do and what they can't, and that when you try to use Popi's powers you always write carefully to give the other characters a chance to dodge or run away or counter or otherwise evade an attack, so the other players can stay in control of their characters. For example "Popi zapps Rock" would not be right; "Poppi tries to zap Rock" would be right becuase it lets the player writing Rock decide if the attack succeeds or not.

The final step is to make sure you pick good location to introduce Popi, and to make sure you talk with other players ahead of time before establishing any character relatinoships, just to make sure you aren't getting in the way of their plans. Once you have that worked out, I'll look forward to seeing you post.

I'd rahter continue the story we have going now, since it is developing into something interesting, or at least I have good plans for it, we just need BJ and Pinoko to post more often. Let's wait and see if it picks up.

Meanwhile, can you explain in more detail what you rideas for using Phoenix would be? The current game is designed to use ALL Tezuka series, what Phoenix elements would you want to use that aren't in this one?

With roleplay games it's generally a good rule of thumb that the game won't successfully progress unless you have at least four people interested in playing. We waited to start the current one until we had four, and have been having trouble getting it to progress even with just that. If you get four people to say they want to join a new different game then that could work, but if you try to start one without that then you'll probably just wind up sitting being stuck.

Meanwhile, can you explain in more detail what your idea is for the game? What kind of setting would it have? what roleplay style would it use? What characters would be permitted or not permitted? Would it have a moderator, if so who?

Hello, hello everyone, I'm so pleased to have joined after all of that messiness with my username and suchforth.

I would like ever-so-much to join this story for as long as I can- I see you're having a bit of difficulty with it, though, so if you don't want me, that's just fine.

The strange thing is... the only character I really want to play would need a heavy bit of modification before joining. Though I think he would be an interesting addition, it's up to you all whether or not you even want me...

So, what do you all think? I can post a writing sample if you want, and a bio for the little guy... Maybe I could even pick up Kenichi as well, if you wish...
