Dororo live movie becomes a trilogy

A big budget action samurai movie doesn't need a fanbase to be a hit in the US, or Japan - people see things like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon even if there's no manga or videogame.

What we may be able to hope for, though, is that if the movies are a big sucess in the US then that may encourage someone to license the manga and/or anime, though it's still doubtful since the art style is very rough and the rushed, semi-finished ending may make companies hesitant to try it. Still, we can hope.

It's always wonderful, to see Tezuka's fanbase growing outside of Japan!

This could make him really popular!

How come many of Tezuka's works are becoming popular with teenagers?

Tezuka's works become popular with people who are introduced to ASTRO BOY!:D

2003 did a big surge of ASTRO BOY Merchandise!:D

I know cause that is what happened in my area!

And so people are introduced to the old, by the new!:D

they realize that the old isn't always bad!
