Mizuki Shigeru belongs on any shelf of manga classics..
Buy all 3 of the bilingual books while you still can.

There was another book published in English of 5 of his stories.
All non-gegege stuff.

It's a shame that the Kitaro anime was never translated, when it originally came out.

Delphi Associates could probably have had some success with Gegege no Kitaro and Obake no Q-tarō.

Kitaro is heavily Japanese, but American kids would have probably liked it anyway.

Since, both are pretty devoid of violent content, parents probably wouldn't have caused a fuss about them.

Although, they'd probably find SOMETHING to fuss about.

Actually, parents probably WOULD have caused a fuss about Kitaro, but that doesn't matter, since a bunch of other 1960's anime shows already caused a fuss.

If Sennin Buraku* was translated... all hell would break loose.

Unless, it was shown before midnight, like in Japan.

Although, it might still have caused a fuss, even before midnight.

Those Kodansha books almost never sell good, because their never widely released.

Hopefully, they'll translate Sennin Buraku, although, they may have to pay a fortune for the longest running manga ever, with the same author, since 1956.

By the way, Koo Kojima must be really old now, since he was born on March 3, 1928.

He's still drawing, and he's still making Sennin Buraku strips.

Now there's a person that really loves manga.

Delphi could have premiered Kitaro around halloween, as "Spooky Kitaro", or something.
