Managed to talk the program director for a local art/music venue to let me use the space this evening for an animation night. Have no clue how many people I'll get to attend (had a friend of mine make up silk screened posters and did a lot of word-of-mouth publicity.)
Anyway, this is a small victory for me, as tonight I am showing:
Tezuka's 'Jumping' short
Ringing Bell (weird 45 minute anime from the very early 80's)
Plague Dogs (unedited Australian version with the extra 20 minutes of footage.)
Yeah, I like depressing animated films about animals. Anyway, the idea of being able to put these up on a pretty good sized screen for a public audience is pretty darn cool!
