Princess Knight Kodansha Bilingual Releases

Postby deadbeatpete » Mon Sep 11, 2006 2:22 pm

I recently obtained volumes 1 and 2 of this series from ebay and was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any further releases or does it stop at 2? Thanks

There's six volumes in all... If you want to order them on an English-speaking website, I believe you can find them on amazon.ca

All six of them are also available on Amazon Japan:

We will meet again, when the loops of time touch.

That edition is out of print, so snap them up wherever you can.

Thanks for the help folks. Unfortunately amazon.ca only has the first 2 and they are listed as out of stock and I have no hope of successfully navigating the japanese site so I guess it's going to be some time before I have a complete set.

There was a full set of them on ebay last week. I recommend making an ebay search for "princess knight manga bilingual -rayearth" and saving it as a favorite search - that way ebay will e-mail you whenever there's a new result matching that search.

By the way, I found a place where I can easily and cheaply get a cute plush doll of Shunsaku Ban - I'd be happy to get it and mail it to you if you like. Would you like it?

Thanks for the hint. I check ebay quite regularly as a matter of course. Unfortunately it seems not many US sellers are willing to ship internationally. I was lucky in being able to persuade the seller of the two I do have to do so even though they had listed them as US only.

As for the doll. I'm not sure. I take it it's not from online so I couldn't see a picture first? Could you tell me more about it such as the size and price including how much it would be to ship it over here etc Thanks a lot.

On the main page of Amazon.co.jp, there is a blue button that says "in English". It will let you add to your cart and check out in English. If you do decide to do it and need help, pm me and I will help walk you through it.

The doll is about 10 inches tall, a stuffed animal, very detailed with his bowtie and mustache and everything. It's similar to the ones of Astro or Black Jack that are common on ebay. I already have of Shunsaku Ban myself, but they have a spare at the shop. It's very light so I don't imagine shipping will cost much - I wouldnt' mind just getting it and sending it to you with no money changing hands. Just next time you find a nice Tezuka object send me one or something.

I'll try to take a photo tomorrow and post it if I can.

That is a very kind and generous offer and I would be glad to take you up on it. However, I feel I should inform you though that being in the UK (where Tezuka is almost completely unknown, even among manga fans it seems) and with my not being able to attend any conventions or suchlike it seems highly unlikely I am going to stumble across anything to give you in return. If you prefer, I could happily send you a small amount through Paypal to cover the postage at the very least.

Let's worry about that after I get the thing and find out the shipping cost. Meanwhile if you e-mail me your mailing address I can get started.

Yes, I got it. I have the box all ready. US postage to England is actually the same price as Italian and faster (three cheers for the Italian post office) so I'll be sending it from here.
